BRIDGE OF SUPPORT IN THE COMMUNITY 

Heritage Valley Federal Credit Union Awards Bridge of Support ("BOS") $600 Donation - On Tuesday, April 9, 2019, Heritage Valley Federal Credit Union awarded BOS a $600 donation collected from its staff members as part of its Casual for a Cause Program.  Tracey M. Ross, President of BOS, accepted the donation on behalf of BOS and stated "I would like to thank Heritage Valley for supporting Bridge of Support as it works to provide support, hope, safety and healing to parents who have suffered the loss of a child."  BOS will use the donation to support the BOS Monthly Support Group Meeting Program, through which it offers parents a safe place to share their grief and begin the healing process.
BOS Parents in Partnership Program On Monday, September 10, 2018, BOS partnered with the Bryan Michael Burnett Scholarship Fund, in Baltimore, MD, by donating $200.00 in support of the Scholarship Fund, which was established to provide scholarships to students furthering their education in the field of culinary arts or hospitality management. Through the BOS Parents in Partnership Program, BOS partners with other parents who have established non-profit organizations, foundations and scholarship funds in honor of their deceased children by providing financial support to such organizations.

 

BOS Parents in Partnership Program On Saturday, July 28, 2018, BOS partnered with the Chastity Brione Dunnaville Scholarship Fund, in Towson, MD, by donating $200.00 in support of the Scholarship Fund’s “6th Annual Crabs for Chas Crab Feast” fundraising event, which was established to provide need-based scholarship awards to students attending the Notre Dame Preparatory School. Through the BOS Parents in Partnership Program, BOS partners with other parents who have established non-profit organizations, foundations and scholarship funds in honor of their deceased children by providing financial support to such organizations.
BOS Summer Sports Camp Program On Wednesday, June 13, 2018, BOS partnered with Roberta’s House, Inc., in Baltimore, MD, by donating $400.00 in support of Roberta’s House “Camp Erin Summer Camp Program”, a children and teens grief support camp for youth who have experienced the death of someone close to them. Through the BOS Summer Sports Camp Program, BOS sponsors youth, who are grieving the loss of a sibling or loved one, to attend local sports camps and sporting events.
BOS Parents in Partnership Program On Saturday, April 28, 2018, BOS partnered with Healing Footprints Foundation, Inc., based in Atlanta, GA, by donating $100.00 in support of Healing Footprint’s “2nd Annual Big Hats and Bow Ties Brunch” fundraising event. Healing Footprints is a non-profit organization which provides assistance with memorial and funeral services for grieving parents who have experienced the death of an infant. Through the BOS Parents in Partnership Program, BOS partners with other parents who have established non-profit organizations in honor of their deceased children by providing financial support to such organizations.  
Bridge of Support ("BOS") Launch Celebration Event - On Saturday, April 7, 2018, BOS held its Launch Celebration Event.  Over 90 individuals were in attendance and were provided with an overview of BOS’s vision, mission, programs and resources. Those in attendance enjoyed powerful testimonies from BOS Support Group members, were entertained through song and dance and enjoyed a delicious meal. The Launch Celebration Event served as a wonderful way of introducing BOS to the community and was a smashing success!
